Visit By DG Verity Swan 2013

DG Verity Swan

The first port of call for District Governor Verity Swan who arrived in style in Rotarian George Wilson's Bentley was a visit to the Townhall to meet the Chairman of Fermanagh District Council Mr Alex Baird. Several members of the Club council were also present. Following a photoshoot on the staircase all were entertained to coffee and scones. The Chairman welcomed DG Verity and the Rotarians and complimented them on the good work they are doing. Following this the group was given a guided tour of the building including a visit to the Council Chamber.

TRIP ON LOUGH ERNE

Rotarian Ivan Kee ably assisted by First Officer Archie Birrell welcomed DG Verity onboard his crusier, accompanied by Assistant Governor Jenny McCrea, President Roy and "first lady" Carole and some fellow Rotarians. Following the traditional photo-shoot onboard, we travelled along the lake to the Killyhevlin Hotel, returning back past Enniskillen Castle for some more photos, then over to The Round O before returning to Ivan and Avril's home for some hospitality.

DG Verity and President Roy exchanged gifts, and DG Verity also presented Rotary pins to Rotarian John Trimble and Rotarian Kenny Fisher for their contributions to Project Ciara.
