Ladies Afternoon Tea and Bubbly - 1st February

President Roy and guests

Killyhevlin Hotel was the setting for this very enjoyable event. Event Organiser Assistant Governor Jenny McCrea pulled out all the stops to make this first time event a brilliant success. On the day approximately two hundred ladies (and a few willing men) dressed up for the occasion. The Club was also delighted to welcome District Governor Verity Swan and some fellow Rotarians from Dublin who were in the area for the weekend and decided to join us.

On arrival the guests were treated to a Bucks Fizz reception, entertainment was provided by "Sharon after Dark" and Sophie Coalter entertained the guests with some beautiful singing.

During the really sumptuous afternoon tea which was provided by the hotel staff, some elegant ladies from Elegant Lady boutique in Lisnaskea mingled with the guests, modelling all the latest fashions.

A raffle was held during the event, and total proceeds from this and the ticket sales amounted to £3,000 which was for the benefit of Marie Curie Cancer Care. Congratulations to Jenny and the Marie Curie team on an excellent event, one which will be on the calendar next year.
